Helping an Orphanage in Ethiopia

One of my dearest and oldest friends (one of two friends without whom I would not have survived high school) and her husband are adopting two babies from Ethiopia. She recently sent me this email that I am sharing here:

Hi Friends and Family–
Most of you already know this, but we are nearing the end of our international adoption journey–hallelujah! We are in between our first and second visits to Ethiopia, as we recently returned from the incredible experience of meeting our two babies. Nanati (baby girl) is 4 months old and weighing in at 11 pounds and Muleta (baby boy) is nearing 5 months and weighing in at nearly 13 pounds. They are beautiful and we are smitten.

We had the experience of seeing the orphanage where they lived the first months of their lives and it was heartbreaking. The needs are tremendous and we are currently fundraising to buy them much needed essentials–things that we all easily take for granted here…things we  would consider necessities for our children here.

Mr. Leebot has completed his third CD “Erratic Schematic” and of course we think it’s the best one yet! It is fun, quirky, electro-rock that will get the little ones hopping without annoying the grownups. :)   There is even a special song called “Our Family” that is a tribute to families who might not look like the traditional family, but are still just the same. We are selling the CD to benefit Ethiopian orphans.

We’re asking that you send this link to everyone you know (Facebook it, too!)  with the hopes of selling as many CDs as possible:
www.ourbabybots.blogspot.com On this page people can read our story and also link to purchasing the CD or making a donation.

We are so lucky to have finally been able to build a family, but we cannot forget what we saw in Ethiopia.

Love
Mr. and Mrs. Leebot
and our Two Babybots
