103 Psaltery & Lyre: Theric Jepson, “After Party”

velvet curtain

;

After Party

after Chadwick

I’m dying to get to that curtain call,
to hold hands with the dearly departed,
raise them up, then drop them down,
bowing our heads as low as our knees,
as the crowd goes wild, knowing-
just like in high school-
Mother & Father will be there every night.
