Love the bullfighting shot. Was this at the Plaza de Toros in Madrid?
Alina, did you like the bullfight? I thought it was gruesome.
I love how the Eiffel Tower shot captures a sense of it’s enormity. I really never got that from the distance shots and was pretty awestruck when I saw it in person.
Thank you. Yes, Plaza de Toros. The best value entertainment in all of Madrid at 5 euro a ticket ;) It was quite gruesome but I truly enjoyed the cultural side of it and the locals that were there. It was a great experience. And thank you Claire, the tower is so much grander than I imagined.
I liked the subdued tones, and the vivid colour in the bullfighter photo… what’s your sense of this, Alina? Do you have a feeling about ‘tourism’ or these old places in particular that informed your presentation of them?
I agree that the angle on the Eiffel tower is a good antidote to all those bland profile shots most people have in mind when they think of the structure. I think it was built to be held ‘in awe’. :)
