Today’s Ride to Church comes to us from Karin (sister of Doves and Serpents’ Heather) and her daughter Synneve. [Heather says: I love this post so much because it’s my hometown. And I love seeing the church building and remembering going to the groundbreaking and getting to overturn some dirt with a golden shovel. Also, as I look at the pictures, I feel like I hear the theme song from the Beverly Hillbillies . . .]

*The Phoenix Commotion is a local building initiative created to prove that constructing homes with recycled and salvaged materials has a viable place in the building industry.” There are several homes in our community built by this organization. This structure sits in a plant nursery on a corner near the church.
Your building has the same kind of look as ours in Georgia, built around the same period of time. The shingles, steeple, color of the brick all are familiar. We also have similar signs on people’s lawns as you do in your town. The bible belt reaches across several states, doesn’t it?
I enjoyed your photos too – great image selections! They really paint a picture of a part of Texas I have enjoyed driving through as well. :)
