Doves and Serpents just received word that the fantabulous Cate has penned a song for the women (and men) of Ordain Women, who plan to stand in line this Saturday, October 5, in order to get into the priesthood session of General Conference. If you don’t know already, Ordain Women is an organization dedicated to calling attention to the need for the ordination of Mormon women to the priesthood.
You may recall that Cate also composed this little ditty for the Mormon Women Pantsapalooza that took place in December 2012.
I happen to know Cate and can positively attest that anyone who does not know her is living an impoverished life, by definition. ;)

Wonderful song! Not sure I’ve ever heard a hymn that says “Shut Up,” quite so clearly.-) Each step is important, and we learn just how important from the backlash, (and responses) from the Defenders of Patriarchy! ;-)
