This is a photo I took on a short (half a day) trip to the beach over Spring Break. Behind me is the Atlantic Ocean. I was in Florida visiting my parents and we took a detour home via Hanna Park in Atlantic Beach (near the Florida/Georgia border). I took this shot with my iPhone from the walkway over the dunes. When I moved to the area in 1980, much of the coastline looked like this. My first view of the ocean, as a 9 year old girl, was from between trees just like these on a little white sandy path. The next time we came back to the beach, there was a giant hotel in the same place.
