Why would you need to “pass as a Mormon”? I was a member of the LDS church for a decade or so, and when I decided that the faith wasn’t working for me, I also decided one critical thing: If my friends and family couldn’t accept me for who I was and what I believed, then they weren’t worth investing the emotional capital.
I understand the humor of the card. However, to me, having to pass yourself off as something you aren’t to avoid confrontation is disingenuous and, in a sense, lying to yourself and those around you. It does you absolutely no good in the long run. I speak from the experience of having tried it for several years. In the end, I felt like I had betrayed myself in an effort to be what I was not.
In the immortal words paraphrased by the Genie in “Aladdin”: Be yourself.

Did you click on the link? It was the jars and lids that got me.
I particularly loved: “Be really, really nice”… “unless someone mentions gay people or abortion, then be really, really quiet.” Humorous and disturbingly true all in one breath. :-)
It was a funny list.
