This one’s from Marketing Precedes the Miracle, published in 1987. The later cartoons are more detailed, and a bit edgier than the earlier ones.
This cartoon, as always, is posted with the kind permission of The Sunstone Foundation, the publisher, and Calvin Grondahl.

I am loving these cartoons. The most interesting thing to me about this one is the year it was published. In 1987, I had never heard of seerstones in hats, though I was a 36-year-old BYU graduated mother of four bishop’s wife who was born and raised in the Church, so I should have known.
Thanks Catherine, I’m having a lot of fun looking through the books again. I guess I knew about the hat story when this came out, but I was also surprised to see think it had been so long. I don’t remember how I had heard about it.
Grandahl’s cartoons gave me more smiles than I could count when I was growing up. Thanks!
I remember my dad purchased a few a Grohndahl’s books when I was younger… I loved them!! Thanks for posting this. Hilarious!
