The fragrance always remains in the hand that gives the rose. -Mahatma Ghandi
As I set the table for Thanksgiving Dinner today, I put a card at each place setting that I’d chosen from the deck of Virtues Reflection Cards. Each card has a virtue and it’s description on one side, and the reverse has a scripture or quote, six ways to practice that virtue, and an affirmation. My daughter Juliet, 11, had the Generosity card and chose the Ghandi quote to share with us.
I love this quote, Claire – profound and beautiful.
Thanks for the link to the Virtues Project too… this looks like a worthy and positive project, and something worth supporting and spreading. Thinking about this challenges me to think about how I can define my own ‘virtues’, though: I think they may well be different for each of us: or at least, expressed differently in each person.
