This is one of the coolest things I have seen in a long time. Candy Chan is a public installation artist, designer, urban planner, and co-founder of Civic Center who likes to make cities more comfortable for people. With some help from friends, she recently installed a giant chalkboard on the side of an abandoned house in her neighborhood for residents to write what they want to do before they die. I wish I lived in New Orleans so I could stop by the corner of Marigny and Burgundy and add my own line to the rest.
Check out the photos here and then comment below and tell us what you’d like to do before you die.
Before I die I want to . . . see La Noche de los Rabanos in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Have really passionate sex with my wife.

So many things… :) Go into space. The moon, if poss.
Before I die I want to. . .live somewhere else. Just to see.
Where do you currently live, Colin?
SLC?
I currently reside in scenic unincorporated Salt Lake County, but my address says SLC so that’s what I tell people. I loved the link to La Noche de Rabanas, btw. “Night of the Radishes” is screaming to be the title of a short story or painting.
Yes (to the Noche de los Rabanos)!! I read a YA novel about 5 years ago where the family goes to Oaxaca for that and I’ve been enamored ever since. Must find a way to get down there. Alas, Mexico isn’t exactly the model of stability right now . . .
Oh, Salt Lake City. Sorry, that was culturally insensitive of me.
