Ren took the photographs that make up this collage at the Quaking Bog in Wirth Park, Minneapolis. She said: ‘Autumn is my favorite season. Every day there are subtle changes and before long the trees are laid bare. It’s nature’s swan song before winter’s rest. Photography captures a moment in time. It compels me to slow down and notice more of what’s around me.’

Oooh, pretty.)
Wow, Ren. Amazing shots.
Beautiful. I’ve been collecting leaves for the past three weeks. I love this time of year.
Ha! My friend from Minnesota (who is now living in Louisiana) just wrote on Facebook in response to this picture: “Post some feb. photos of Minnesota or else I will be tempted to move back.”
Ren, I love autumns as well. The sights, the scents, the cooling air, the festive commotion. In may part of the world it’s also a salmon homecoming.
Fantastic composition of each shot and how they’re presented together. Has a stained glass / modern art fusion effect for me.
Beautiful. I was *just* thinking I needed to capture the red of the maple outside my kitchen window before it’s gone. Fall is my absolute favorite. Spring comes second. There is something so moving about the transitional times of the year. I love being able to actually see the change and passing of time, even though it is always too short.
Nice Ren!
These pictures make me sad because the drought is just wreaking havoc on our trees down here. It’s terrible. :(
