Today’s post comes to us from Synneve, a veteran Ride to Church submitter (see here and here):
I spent two weeks this summer in Cuenca, Ecuador volunteering at orphanages with Orphanage Support Services Organization (OSSO), which is based in Rexburg, Idaho. This was my second trip–I went last summer with a different group called Humanitarian Experiences for Youth (HEFY) that works with OSSO on construction projects and caring for children. I couldn’t stay away for long, and will probably go back again in the future. I left my heart down there, so I’ll have to check on it in the future ;). We had a day off to visit the Guayaquil Temple which is four hours away (by bus) from Cuenca.
Beautiful photos. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
Thank you for this! Hooray for OSSO! I’ve made that drive a couple times, so enchanting. Only once, I made the mistake of filling up on Pizza Hut, KFC, and Dunkin Donuts at the Guayaquil mall before making that winding drive back through Cajas Nat’l Park. Good times…
