Come enjoy Carole’s ride to church in Cache Valley, Utah. Carole lives in Avon and the church building is three miles north, in Paradise.

$Brand new colt, born on April 15th-too bad he\'s not a tax deduction.$

$The neighbors\' horses come to see where we are going.$

$It\'s been called the giraffe barn.$

$The Watkin\'s place.$

$The other side of the giraffe barn and Olsen home. In the area they call Paravon because it\'s near Paradise, but not quite there.$

$The William\'s place.$

$West side. Farm with Cache Valley\'s Wellsville Mountains in the distant. Steepest in the world for how narrow the base is. On the other side is Box Elder County.$

Loved them, this is a part of Utah I really haven’t seen up close.

  Ok Wynsor, the old guy is already in bed. I should get a pic of the old church especially since tragically it’s slated for demolition this summer. Something I’m pretty sad about.

Carole, that is so sad to hear. We must memorialize it here- send us the picture and we’ll put it up. Or even a series of pictures.

I would love you to memorialize it. It’s something that has been debated for a long time, but I guess the cost of getting it to earthquake safety is too much. I would like to get inside when I can and take some pictures as well as outside. I’ll let you know when I get them done.

Well, my guess is that where there’s a will, there’s a way, and apparently the church doesn’t have the will? We’ve lost too many of our old buildings because of modern ideas of what’s important and cost effective.
